Starting School!

 Wednesday, July 28, 2010

Long time no see! lol :P Sry it's been a while since I have written. As you all know school is starting!!! Since I'm home schooled I'm able to start my school whenever I want. So this year we are starting several of the classes early. We do this because usually in the school year you end up going to a function and not doing your school that day, which happens more than once. One of the school subjects we are starting is the dreaded BIOLOGY! My mom has been dreading the day when we would be doing it. To my utmost surprise I'm liking it! Although I'm just getting done with the first module(chapter) This year I feel extremely motivated! I even feel motivated to do, not just school, but house cleaning and everything else. I'm so glad that God is instilling this in me because this year is going to be hectic with all the school I'll be doing! I recently finished a book! :D It's the series Postcards from Pullman, and the book is called Whispers Along the Rails. It's the second one. Anyway I won't be doing a review on the book till I'm done with the series, then I'll write about them. Unfortunately my mom said I'll probably have to cut down on all the reading I've been doing. :( Try to work hard on your school, it will definitely pay off in the future!!!

Showing Christian Love

 Monday, July 19, 2010

Today I tried to show Christian love. Certain things have come to my attention to show me that this world is going hay wire! This world needs a Savior! Recently I was told some things that are happening and it is just shocking! I pray and pray! Stories about children, adults, and the abuse going around. We can all feel like we are in this great little world with our own problems and nothing is out of our circle, but there is so so much more. You would be surprised how close it all is. I have noticed that people think they have to go to a different country or state to share the good news of Jesus, when all you have to do is tell your neighbor. So that's what I'm going to do! As I already told you I tried to show Christian love today. Shockingly I talked/played with 5 people I didn't know. Because I was open to show love, God used me. Although I didn't tell them about Jesus. Hopefully I'll encounter them again, so that I'll be able to. I'm starting off slow. :P I know it's scary just to go up to someone that you don't know, but if your open to being kind you will be surprised how they come to you. Don't worry, I did it with my mom around. :) Anyway just try and show the love God showed you. :)

"The Black Arrow"

 Sunday, July 11, 2010

This book really is determined upon the reader. For my personnel experience I really like this book. I know it's not good writing skills to write a review and say 'I' but this book is really like that. If you are going to read The Black Arrow here is a suggestion, READ THE INTRODUCTION! You will not understand if you don't. This is the first book that I actually did read the introduction and I'm so thankful to God that I did. I feel as if He totally guided me to do that. Also I have to tell you that the writing style is old English. When I say that people often think I'm talking about 'ye' and 'tho' but there is so much more. How they word their sentences and everything! You will get very confused during the first few chapters, but press on! Once Sir Daniel is not present you will be able to finally comprehend what their saying. If you make it through the book I'm sure you won't be disappointed that you read it. I was captivated during the fight scenes and the curiosity on what was going to happen next. Then again I have to say that this book is totally determined upon the reader. Btw I'm trying to shorten my posts(a little) ;) Ttyl

PS. To know more about the book look at my last Captives of the Written Word post.

Writing Ideas...

 Thursday, July 8, 2010

I've always(well for the better part of my life) wanted to write a book! I have tried several times in the past, and I actually got pretty far in it once. This past couple of months though I have had numerous ideas come to me. :) Right now I'm working on a series! Well I'm on the first book but I know what the rest are going to be as well. ;) This series isn't just going to be about one topic. I hope to use the characters, in the book I'm writing right now, in the other books as well. Except they'll be doing other stuff. The book I'm writing right now is a mystery! :D Also besides that series I've come up with another idea. I think this idea will be great! Although I'm not going to tell you. :P Don't want you to take my idea! lol :D Now all I have to do to make it work is actually get it down on paper.

Colonoscopy

Awhile ago my dad had to have a colonoscopy, so one of our friends offered for us to go to their house for the day. We had to wake up super early! We played video games, played around the house, and just had blast! :D Also I watched the first two episodes of the Waltons. I had never watched them before that time. I really like them so they said I could borrow season 1. :D After being there for a long time my mom finally called and said that the surgery went good and that he is completely healthy! :D My mom also told me that my dad kept asking what the doctor said about every 5 minutes and that she had already told him. lol The doctors said that was normal. Now all he had to do is rest. :)

First Video Making Experience

 Saturday, July 3, 2010

I finally have my camcorder now! :D In about twenty-four hours of having it, I've already made a video! It was so so much fun! Unfortunately I don't really know how to edit videos, but my friend does. She is definitely going to have to help me. :D The video we made was an investigation one. I was the detective! Although my voice sounds really weird because I kept having a deep voice when I would speak. I couldn't help myself. :P I'm so happy that I have it right now because of Fourth of July coming up! I cannot wait to make more videos! It was supposed to either be for Christmas or my birthday, but that's a long time from now. :D Anyway I can't wait for events and such so I can record them! :D I'm so happy!

Drive-In

 Thursday, July 1, 2010

I have to say that I had one of the longest days ever! lol First we went swimming for several hours, then we ran some errands. When we got back from running errands my parents decided that we should go to the drive-in. Chaotically we had to rush! Also my parents decided that we should go out to eat. lol We didn't have that much time either! So we rushed to the place where we ate and great thing they were quick or we wouldn't have made it. Once we were done eating, which was as fast as lightning, we went to the drive-in. Successfully we made it to watch Toy Story 3 and Prince of Persia! :D I won't do too long of a review on them. ;) I really liked Toy Story 3! I'm actually quite surprised, I thought it would be just really kiddish, but it wasn't. Definitely recommended! I really like Prince of Persia also, but I would have probably preferred to watch it at home. Although Prince of Persia is really good and has awesome fighting scenes, it just wasn't entirely my cup of tea. I don't really know why though. There's hardly anything bad in it, which is good. By the time we got home it was 1:00 in the morning! One great day! I forgot to tell you that my mom cried during Toy Story 3! lol So many people are doing that! lol Also I love the drive-in!
